Welcome to the Criminal Claims Bureau

We specialise in complex high value criminal compensation claims and work hard to ensure that you receive the best possible outcome to your case.

In the UK there is a Government funded agency called the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) that has been set up specifically to administer a compensation scheme for victims of violent crime. This website provides you with information about the scheme and we can also offer you No win No fee representation in order to make your claim. This service is managed by the Criminal Claims Bureau a trading name of MJN Marketing Ltd a claims management business authorised & regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

No win No fee representation

We offer a No win No fee service to victims of crime wishing to make a claim through the CICA scheme. If you instruct us to handle your claim and you receive compensation, we charge 25% of any award inclusive of VAT. In the event that your case does not result in any award being paid we will make no charge. Case example: An award of £11,000 would result in a fee of £2750 leaving a net sum of £8250 compensation payable. If a case fails and no award is paid, no fee would be payable to us. You can cancel your instruction to us at any time in writing up to the point of the matter being determined by the CICA.

Cancelling your instructions:

In accordance with Financial Conduct Authority rules after signing an agreement to instruct us you are entitled to cancel the contract within 14 days of the agreement date. We will make no charge for our services during this cooling off period. Following the expiry of this period, you can still end the agreement at any time up to the point of determination (a decision being made by the CICA) but you will be asked to pay a cancellation fee reflective of the time we have spent on your case up to the point at which you decide to bring the agreement to an end. We will provide evidence of work completed in substantiation of the cancellation fee which will be based on our hourly rate of £50 per hour plus VAT which we set out in our written agreement with you.

Important:

Be aware that the CICA may insist on medical records being vetted and the scheme places the burden of paying for the records on the applicant up to a maximum of £50. They will however consider funding this in advance for those on benefits or low income, deducting the sum from compensation paid.
