Up to thirty men have been charged formally by West Yorkshire Police of abusing 5 girls across the county.
The allegations centre around the Huddersfield and Dewsbury area and relate to rape and trafficking offences. One woman has also been implicated accused of facilitating child sexual offences. The charges follow a 3 year investigation by police after it emerged that a number of girls were being targeted by a group of local men. The suspects have been named and the 31 accused will appear at Kirklees magistrates court on 5-6 September 2018.
